AUNTIE ONI & COUSIN RANGER

This weekend has been a bit hard on my Mommy.
So I thought it was fitting to write about the two who are always there to encourage her NO MATTER WHAT!
I've already talked about my Papa Pollo, in this post I wanted to introduce you to My Auntie Oni and Cousin Ranger.
Oni & Ranger

Ranger lives in a nice one "horse" apartment (or as he likes to call it "his bachelor pad") across the "street" from my "house" (which I share with my roommates Lola and Mara. Who I will talk about in a later post), so we hang out a lot at the "neighborhood tie rail".
Sometimes our Mommies take us for a hike together or schedule play dates!
Those are always super fun!

First play date-December 2016

Auntie Oni is one of my favorite humans, which is a HUGE compliment because I'm still getting used to meeting different types of people and don't always feel safe with everyone.

She is always the first one to snap a photo of one of my training mile stones for my "baby book".

Auntie gives me head rubs and tells me I'm pretty, which makes me feel special and loved (although sometimes it does make Ranger jealous and he (being a typical boy) will start showing off or misbehaving for his Momma's attention).

Ranger is quite a few years older than me, he's really more of an Uncle than he is a cousin.
He's a very funny horse, your average gelding temperament with a dash of comedian thrown in. he can always make Mommy laugh.

Funny Ranger

He gives me alot of pointers on being a good domesticated horse (like Papa Pollo does).
He shares all these really helpful little "life hacks" with me.

Like, "If you let your Mommy put clothes on you than you get some super awesome photos!"

MR. RAY RAY GANGSTA!

Of course, Ranger has shared many other tips with me.

But my favorite thing about Auntie Oni and Cousin Ranger, is that they both are always there for Mommy and I.
Whether it's been a bad day for Mom or a tricky, new training concept for me, they are always there to give us both an encouraging word, or a pat on the back.

Sometimes when Mom isn't sure how I will respond to the next step in my training, she'll ask Auntie Oni if she can keep us company (as a type of "security blanket"),
Auntie is always more than willing to help! She'll go put a halter, or a saddle on Ranger and tag along.
It really does give me more confidence to have a friend around sometimes.
Let's me know that there is nothing to be afraid of.

have a training session in the roping arena.

So thank you Auntie Oni, for all the kind words to both me and my mom. And thank you to Cousin Ranger for being a good friend and roll model!

WE LOVE YOU GUYS!

Lots Of Kisses
