R.P.S!

Hello Tiger Cubs!

Sorry I haven't brightened you screens with my presents these past few days.

Mommy's been too busy to help proof read my posts.

But today she is back, so I am going to tell you another fact about me.

 I have Rolly Polly Syndrome.

A beautiful picture (if you don't look at my dirty coat) taken this morning!

You've already heard about my water addiction!

WATERLILY!

But most of you probably are not aware that I have recently been infected with RPS.

RPS or Rolly Polly Syndrome, is fairly common among horses. But until recently I had not exhibited any of the symptoms.

  • Rolly Polly Syndrome - The need to roll in the most disgusting sand a horse can find, following a bath or extensive grooming session.
This is done directly in front of Mommies and Daddies (PURPOSELY!) and may cause them to experience:

  1. Difficulty Breathing
  2. Light Headiness
  3. Panic Attacks
  4. Blubbering
  5. Disbelief
  6. Anger
  7. Fainting
  8. Loss Of Speech
  9. Slack Jaw-ness
  10. and in some extreme cases Heart Attacks

I have an excuse for my RPS though!

Mommy and I live in Southern California where the weather is (usually) at least 70 degrees at any given time!

May-September is normally the hottest time of year for us!

Temperatures can be anywhere from 85-110 degrees. Nights tend to still be as high as the higher 70s.

So, lately I have been needing more and more frequent hose downs after exercise due to increased sweating.

Obviously this means I am wet more often than before, so feel the urge to roll much more frequently!

Now this may be a bit annoying for Mommy but she can see how much I love to roll!

Safe to say, I will be experiencing symptoms of RPS for at least another 3-4 months!

Lots Of Kisses!
