AIN'T FOOLIN THIS STANG!






Today I shall tell you a story that is both very scary! And incredibly unbelievable!

But I swearzies! I can't make this up people! It really happened!

Are you sitting down? Ok, here we go!

A few days ago I was introduced to the scariest monster I have ever seen in my whole life!

It was big and had wings that flapped opened and closed, with a long talon that comes down and grabs hold of humans' hands!

Mommy called it an "umbrella" and tried to convince me it was perfectly safe! But she is fooled by it's light weight and waterproof-ness!

I, with my super mustang senses, am too smart to be lured into a false sense of safety! I have been keeping my eye on the Brella and snorting at it every few minutes to make sure it knows to stay away!

Mommy "teaching" Barbie that "brella" isn't scary!...IDIOTS!

Today Mommy let brella watch me in turn out! I stayed over in the corner and snorted at him for about 20 minutes!

HA! I was winning! The evil brella was staying away! Then Mommy had to go and ruin it!

Sensing that I had no intention of introducing myself to brella, she devised a cruel plot! 

SHE ACTUALLY HAD THE NERVE TO PUT SOME NOM NOMS IN A BUCKET AND PLACE IT NEAR THE BRELLA!

OH...NO...SHE...DIDN'T!

That was a mean trick Mommy! You know I can't resist Nom noms!

I was forced to gradually inch towards my nom noms, held captive by the big bad brella! 

Mommy got pictures of my heroic rescue of the nom noms! But brace yourselves, it is quite intense to watch!

Me snorting at brella and telling it the nom noms were mine!


Me stretching out really far to smell nom noms, but not too close so Brella couldn't get me!


Me pausing to smirk at Mommy before I put my heroic plan into action!

Me proudly munching my nom noms after pulling them to safety with my teeth!

Me glaring at Mommy as she turns traitor and gives my nom noms back to Brella!


WE MEET AGAIN MY NEMESIS!

MY HEART WAS POUNDING THE WHOLE TIME!

Mommy says that I will learn to accept Brella more and more the more he hangs out with us!

I can't stop him from being there, But I can keep an eye on that sneaky guy and make sure he knows...he ain't foolin this stang!

Watch out for the Brellas everyone!

BRIDGET THE BRINDLE!

I not sure about the horses you guys know, but I LOVE COWS! And not just Smarty the dummy steer..but the real thing too! They are fascinating little guys. I enjoy hanging out with all the cows and steers here at the Ranch, but I do have a favorite. There is an old, red, brindle cow that lives in a "big apartment" with the young roping steers as a nanny. Mommy and I don't know if she has a name or what it is if she does. So we call her Bridget, Bridget The Brindle.    Bridget The Brindle Now, I get along with pretty much ever animal I come in contact with!  Birds, Lizards, Dogs, Rabbits, Goats, Fish, Mules, Squirrels, Butterflies, it doesn't matter, I LOVE EVERYONE!! It was obvious from the first time I met Bridget that we were going to be friends! Whenever she sees me she comes to the "front yard" and waits for me to walk over and say "Hi"   then she greets me with kissies! Kissies from Bridget Sometime...

SOMETHING NEW SATURDAY!

Hello, As you may have guessed by the title of this post, today I experienced something new! But come to think of it...I have crossed a few other mile stones this week as well. For example, on Thursday I wore a big girl saddle pad for the first time ever! Which was a big deal! But today's mile stone trumps Thursday's! DRUM ROLL PLEASE......... Can you guess what it is?...............I WORE MY FIRST BIT! You see, Mommy bought me a raw sweet iron, 5", loose ring, snaffle bit by Weaver Leather off the Internet but since it has not arrived yet she asked a friend if they had a plain snaffle we could borrow. Would you believe our luck, they did!! Mommy's friend Kim, handed her an old headstall with the bit attached to it and asked if it would work. "I don't know let's find out" Mommy responded. She headed over to where I was standing patiently at the tie rail (like a little angel pony), with the headstall draped over her arm....
