KICK IN THE BUTT...LITERALLY!

A few weeks ago, Momma took Lola to a Gymkhana for the weekend, There was no room for me to go with them so that meant I would be left all alone in our house.

BY MYSELF!!

For like two whole days!! (That's like 2,000 hours people)!

Well neither Mommy or Me really liked that idea and as long as Lola was promised food and attention, she didn't care.

In fact she said and I quote

"I love you kid but some times your a total pain in the rump and a little break will be nice."

UM...RUDE!!!

Let's get some stuff straight:

1) I'm super duper adorable and snuggily, how can anyone possibly think I was a pain!!??,

2) I am the coolest roommate EVER! I even give my Roommates a job! They're my nannies! who wouldn't want to have the great honor of getting to tell me to "knock it off that's annoying!" Every ten minutes? That's a very special employment opportunity!!

But whatever, I'm getting distracted! Back to the story.

Whisper, a new mustang mare and one of my friends, her Mom decided to let Whisper sleepover in  the "guest room" in Me and Lola's house for the weekend.

That sounded good to me, so Whisper and I hung out while Lola and Mommy were away and I wasn't lonely. Problem solved!

Well we all had fun and before you knew it Lola was back, Whisper asked if she could try moving in with us, Lola was a little hesitant but agreed so we decided to try it!

For the first few days nothing eventful really happened, we all had our little arguments while we were getting used to each other but none of them escalated very far.

But about a week into our new living arrangements, Whisper got into a disagreement with Lola and kicked her hard in the leg!

Now, none of us blame Whisper, well except maybe Lola, yes...Lola definitely holds a grudge but nobody else does.

Things happen. Horses will be horses, divas will be divas and mares will be mares!

Obviously though, Mommy and Whisper's mom thought it would be better for everybody if Whisper moved back into her old apartment for now.

Lola's injury was at first, quite serious.

I was all like "OMG THERE'S LIKE BLOOD AND STUFF!"

Lola's leg minutes after incident

Mommy thinks it would have done better with stitches but it didn't end up getting any.

Over the last 10 days

Lola...

has been...

very slowly...

Healing!

Originally Lola's whole leg was swollen and she had a lot of trouble walking. It looked very painful and she told me it was.

But Momma have been trying REALLY hard to keep her comfy and give her time to heal!

The swelling as gradually gone down, and while she still is incredibly sensitive, Lola's getting better everyday!

Mommy and Liz (Lola's mom) have been cleaning and dressing her wounds twice a day. The vet also gave her some medicine that she gets in a bucket with extra nom noms!

well...

at least when she decides to cooperate and eat it.

Now, I know what your thinking and YES, I am very jealous! I'm WAY cuter than Lola! Why does she get all the attention! Ugh! Humans are so weird!

Me being cute and trying to mooch nom noms from Lola

I mean, look at that face!! That is the face of innocence ladies and gentlemen...how can anyone possibly resist giving me all the food I want!

I guess when I figure it out I will let you guys know.

Maybe their just trying to help me watch my figure? It is bikini season after all.

Stay cool in the heat everybody!

Lots Of Kisses!
